US Election 2024: All Candidates
The 2024 United States presidential election will be the 60th quadrennial presidential election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Voters will elect a president and vice president for a term of four years.Incumbent President Joe Biden, a member of the Democratic Party, is running for re-election. His predecessor Donald Trump, a member of the Republican Party, is running for re-election to a second, non-consecutive term.A number of primary election challengers have also declared their candidacies for the nomination of both major parties.
The following is a list of all declared candidates for the 2024 US presidential election, as of September 16, 2023:
Democratic Party

.Joe Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1942. He served as a United States senator from Delaware from 1973 to 2009, and as vice president under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. He was elected president in 2020.
Republican Party:

- Donald Trump was born in Queens, New York, in 1946. He is a businessman and television personality who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

- Asa Hutchinson was born in Hope, Arkansas, in 1950. He served as the 46th governor of Arkansas from 2011 to 2019, and as the United States attorney for the Western District of Arkansas from 1985 to 1993.

- Perry Johnson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1960. He is a businessman and author who served as the CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in China from 1995 to 2010.

- Mike Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana, in 1959. He served as the 48th vice president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, and as the governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017.

- Vivek Ramaswamy was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1984. He is an entrepreneur and political commentator who founded the Roivant Sciences biopharmaceutical company in 2014.

- Tim Scott was born in North Charleston, South Carolina, in 1965. He has served as a United States senator from South Carolina since 2013.

- Corey Stapleton was born in Billings, Montana, in 1970. He served as the 36th Montana Secretary of State from 2013 to 2021.

- Ryan Binkley is a businessman and pastor from Iowa. He has no prior experience in elected office.

- Doug Burgum is the governor of North Dakota. He is a businessman and software engineer who founded the Great Plains Software company in 1983.

- Chris Christie is the former governor of New Jersey. He served from 2010 to 2018.

- Ron DeSantis is the governor of Florida. He served from 2019 to present.

- Larry Elder is a talk radio host and 2021 California gubernatorial candidate. He served as a lawyer in Los Angeles.

- Nikki Haley is the former governor of South Carolina. She served from 2011 to 2017. She was also the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018.
Third Parties:


Kanye West is a rapper and businessman. He ran for president in 2020, but received less than 1% of the popular vote.
